Car Seat Program
The Christ Child Society of Omaha continues to lift up and empower children and
mothers through our Car Seat Program. Providing a car seat to families who find
purchasing this necessity a significant financial burden directly addresses the health
and safety of infants and children. Each year we distribute over 150 high-quality car
seats to new and expectant mothers and their infants through approved local
agencies.
We partner with social service agencies to conduct car seat education and
distribution events. Typically, the agencies announce the classes and mothers need
to register to attend. At each event, a trained educator from Children’s Hospital in
Omaha teaches the parents how to safely install and use the car seat. At the
completion of the training, a Grow-With-Me Car Seat is given to each parent. This
style of car seat can be used from infancy until the child has grown large enough to
no longer need a car seat or booster seat. Thus far, we have conducted car seat
events with:

- Catholic Charities
- Mater Filius
