The 2023 Christ Child Society’s annual Soirée was marked by tremendous camaraderie and generosity in support of women and families. On October 12, over 180 guests enjoyed a social hour and then moved into the beautifully decorated ballroom of Happy Hollow Club to enjoy a delicious dinner and inspirational program.
Molly and Gary Witt were Soirée Chairpersons, and Pat and Moe Shanley served as Honorary Chairpersons. Moe Shanley spoke about the impact of providing college scholarships for young mothers and encouraged husbands in attendance to give generously as a way to honor their wives’ long-time commitment to Christ Child Society.
Following a video presentation, Tim Reed fired up the guests by singing an unexpected and hilarious rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun!” with lyrics modified to “This Boy Just Wants to Raise Funds!” Record funds were raised to provide essential resources and educational opportunities to young mothers and families in service of the Christ Child.
